Could the messages of a battle occurring be moved to their own sub group? Having them in with the private messages means that messages get missed when lots of battles are occurring.

I feel the same way. I was thinking of making the message just update the existing message if the battle is just another round in the same location. Either that or a "Delete all battle messages" button

Could the message you get have a link to the actual battle so you can just click once instead of having to go through all the menus?
Edit: Or just have the battle message in the pm

They will. The battle page needs to be worked on some and the messages do need to include a link. They also need to NOT give you another message for every fight in the same location.
