One of our users turned us on to the Discord Chat server so we made a server and implemented a link under the Comms Page. The link is currently:

It seems to crash on Internet Explorer when trying to do the invite, unfortunate. Majority of people are using Chrome or Firefox though. We've just starting playing with the chat server, if you have some suggesions on configuring it please let us know!

Hostile Pirates Event has gone in, it is similar to the Hostile Raiders but with Ships, more of them and that means big bounties. The pirate bases have several frigates but also have Maraurder Destroyers and sometime 1-3 Pirate Battleships. The bounties are the value of all the units and it can amount to 200mil + for the base destruction.

We're working on a Kaiju Monster attack which will be similar but with one super unit that isn't raiding. There is also plans for a System scope version using an alien invader or perhaps a giant asteroid.

There are also now a lot more links to Combat and Corporation pages from the overview tab. We are also considering making each event have its own private Comms thread in the event screen itself. Perhaps switch between the event info and the comms thread This would make easier discussing anything about the event, especially voting

How often do pirates invade the system?

Also will there be larger pirate ports that can be reached via a wormhole or something?

In order to cause significant damage to a pirate base the ships required is difficult to travel intersystem and the bounty in other systems is not worth the time involved...

Just kind of want to know how often the events will occur to determine if I can increase military fleet size and use the bounty to offset the upkeep.

Hostile Pirates are just a random event like the Raiders. The More static ones that use the other two factions, Dark Star and Commonwealth will have big bases somewhere and won't "raid" so much as be involved in events where they might even attack corps for voting a certain way. They will probably attack en masse when they do. Their bases will probably be permanent or maybe last 2000 turns then relocate. I'm not sure if there is going to be as much a bounty if any in taking out there bases but there could be an event that will make all the corps "pick a side" in a war between them with the rewards going to a "victor" =)

Is there anything in the works to utilize "jump points" to travel between systems, fleets can become so large that they may take more than 500 turns to get to the new system and the even is over..

There's an idea for "Mega Structures" like corporation owned jump gates that anyone can use if they pay for it, links to another gate, that also charges for use. Mega Structure would be like a 2000 cargo ACP costing 500 million to produce hauled out (hopefully in a fleet) to a spot in the solar system and deployed in space, maybe it "builds" for a while out there.

Mega structures makes Titan Class ships or orbital defense platforms that can fire into any fight on the planet or within a certain range possible also =)
It's on the wish list, kind of like a to do list but with unicorns on it.

With the current upkeep costs, I would be okay without Titan Class, but a jumpgate would be incredibly useful.

If you're trying to maintain a fleet of capital ships, its going to be expensive, try all troops

They are spawning in places like Wolf system on dead planets. I think we need to check for that and no spawn them there. Search the event list for "pirates" in your browser
