Get one of the basic game maker apps. Game maker studio, Unity, Unreal engine . They come with "default" game setups. like Really simple, no graphcs FPS shooters, top down shooter, mario style side scroller etc. So you can learn how to work with the software. A gazillion youtube video tutorials online .
Make "A game" and then take it from there .
It isn't easy, and it takes along time, its more like a hobby, but if you stickwith it for a while eventually you have something playable.
