1. League Format The league will feature 4 teams (Will change as teams are approved) and last for a duration of 6 weeks. The league will be located on the moon Rhea orbiting Saturn. Each team will be required to own 1 military base on the moon to produce the units required for the battles. Each team will face a single opponent each week in a 4-turn battle. The outcome of the battle will be determined by the number of opposing units destroyed. The player who destroys the most units is the winner of that match. Players can also play to a draw if they have destroyed an equal number of units after the end of 4 turns. Points will be awarded as follows: Win: 3 points for winning team Draw: 1 point for each team Lose: 0 points for losing team The team that has earned the most points by the end of the season will be named the champion. In the case of a tie, the team that has a higher kill-loss ratio will be considered the winner. If there is a still a tie, the winner will be determined by the results of the season match between the teams (Determined first by winner of the season match, than by kill/loss ratio, then by total damage inflicted). See below for a 4-team sample league table: Team | Win | Draw | Loss | Kills | Lost | Killed/Lost | Points | Orion Champions | 3 | 0 | 0 | 12 | 8 | +4 | 9 | Galactic Bruisers | 1 | 1 | 1 | 8 | 7 | +1 | 4 | Little Pansies | 1 | 1 | 1 | 6 | 6 | 0 | 4 | Saturn Marauders | 0 | 0 | 3 | 6 | 11 | -5 | 0 | |

2. Schedule The battle schedule will be randomly determined at the beginning of the season, with each time playing each other twice per season. Each week (1008 turns), you will be assigned an opponent and a location for your match. You and your opponent will coordinate independently to schedule the battle. The battle must be completed before the beginning of the next week or no points will be awarded to either team. Each battle will have a “home” and “away” team, with the away team setting the attack order against the home team. (Be sure that only 1 team sets the attack order. Both sides attacking simultaneously will cause 2 battles each turn. Not the end of the world, but it’s more fun to watch the results unfold slowly). edited by Galactic Sporting Commission on 5/17/2018 |

3. Battles Each side will field a fighting force that is limited by the 5 following restrictions: 1. Exactly 7 units 2. Maximum base unit upkeep of 10,000/turn 3. Max unit level of 5 4. No more than 3 of any unit type 5. No artifacts or artifact units allowed Battles last for a duration of 4 turns. The home team will deploy their units to the designated location. The away team will then move to the location with an attack order targeting ONLY the corporation they are fighting (so as to not attack other forces that may be moving through that location). (Ideally both corporations will move to the location at the same time, so neither corporation gains an unfair advantage concerning the composition of units being used by the opposing side. It will be up to the participating teams to do their best to ensure they use fair methods so as to not give an unfair advantage to themselves or their opponent.) The away team must set the attack for a duration of 4 turns only. Each team scores points equal to the number of enemy units they have destroyed at the end of 4 turns. The winning team is the one who has destroyed more units. It is also possible to tie if each team destroys an equal number. |

4. Financial Rewards (Artifact rewards have been generously offered by the United Cogs Republics, Warp Carrier by Exordium) Each team will receive a base media sponsorship from GNN of 100 million credits. This will be paid at the beginning of the season to cover upkeep and construction costs during the course of the season. Each team will receive this regardless of league performance. Every week will feature a prize of 4 A5 artifacts for the team that destroys the most opposing enemy units. These rewards will be offered after all matches have been played for that week. Ties between teams will be determined by the total amount of hit points dealt to their opponent (In other words, whoever deals the most damage). End of season awards will be given to the top performing teams. These rewards will be distributed after all season matches have been completed. These will be awarded as follows (Listed rewards are the minimum, will increase with more sponsors): League Champion: AX Mysterious artifact, Lv.1 Warp Carrier 2nd Place: AX Dimensional artifact 3rd Place: AX Metaphysics artifact 4th Place: A5 Dimensional artifact |

5. Other Rules - Players are allowed to maintain a maximum of 20,000/turn upkeep of units on the planet. This allows for tactical flexibility when choosing units for upcoming matches. These must be kept at the location of the players’ military base except when leaving to participate in a match. - Players may not keep military forces on the moon that are in excess of the 20,000/turn upkeep limit. - The only units allowed on the planet after the beginning of the season are units that can be produced from a military base. - Players may file for exclusion from the rule that requires a base be maintained on the planet. The request must be filed through PM to the Galactic Sporting Commission citing the reasons for the request. GSC reserves the right to deny any requests for any reason. |
