Was looking for a substitute to ogame, and read about Barons on a forum.
The description was enough to make me understand that this game in its concept is one of the best that I have ever heard about.
So I waited patiently, tried to contribute by taking part of the kickstarter (too bad it failed, but definitively count me on for the next one ! )
And finally it's here, and I'm already addicted beyond my expectations ! xD

We seem to get a lot of OGame or Astro Empires players on here who were looking for an alternative. Probably the one small niche this game appeals to =)

I play another fairly similar browser game, Imperium Nova. A few people posted about this on one of the forums there so thought I'd check it out.

Yes I talked to the guy who runs Imperium Nova. It inspired me to eventually do a dynasty system in this game. Its nice to know my efforts over there have yielded ONE interested person =)

a friend told me about this game so i check it out and joined up and its pretty cool so far ive been telling other friends about,and so far one just signed up a few mins ago.

google searching for indie MMOs brought me to indiedb.com. Which brought me here. I like the economic model and strategic interface. To much clicking and things are becoming a bit too complex at the economic end.

Was browsing through Kickstarter campaigns in the game category, then found this. This is exactly the kind of browser game I've been looking for. Haven't been satisfied with browser games since early v1.0 Erepublik. I hate pay to win....

Thanks for trying it out. I hope I can add a lot more too it in the next few months (Events etc.) as things are starting to stabilize with the game mechanics.
