Greetings fellow barons,
AstroAscendingAsses and Interplan Bank would like to present the new player-corporation created, Open Challenge Event Program!
Every few weeks, a new event will be created and announced for anyone to participate. Events will vary in type and objectives to focus on different aspects of the game. Participants will get a chance to take home a grand prize for winning. Units used in any event are at the expense of the event participants.
All events will have an assigned judge moderating event, registrations, rewards, and conflicts.
The game’s public forum will be used for this program:
- Event documents and event details will be posted for reference.
- Event results will be posted for reference.
The game’s in-game public comms will be used for this program:
- Event Announcements > Event Start and Event Resolution notices.

When a new event is created:
- Every 3-4 weeks (approximately), a new event will be announced.
- -> Depending on the event, registration will be open for approximately 7 days to allow participants to register and prepare for the event.
- Event judge will create an event-specific poster that details rules, limits, expenses, and rewards.
- Event judge will post the event-specific poster in this thread along with a formal announcement.
- Event judge will announce “open registrations” for the event in the in-game comms and provide a link to this forum thread.
- Event start will begin on the event-assigned turn (shown in the event-specific poster and the formal announcement).
- The judge will also give in-game comms shout to begin to kick-off the event.
- Event results will be posted in the in-game comms and this thread.
- Judge will distribute reward to the event victor.
How to participate:
- Watch the in-game comms for when events are posted.
- Once posted, message the event’s judge to register.
- Once registered, follow the instructions provided by the event’s judge.

The first event will be announced soon! Watch for upcoming announcements on this thread and in the in-game comms.

Event Registration Open - Dog Wars-PvP - 191420
Is now over! We have our first Open Challenge Event victor!
The battle was intense as our two contenders faced off with one another.
First, they took the opportune moments to size each other up, then, the thunder came!
It was an epic clash as scouts darted from orbit to surface, exchanging shots and forming different approach tactics as they launched their attacks. Both sides fought well, both sides hungry for the prize. But in the end, only one victor stands.

Grand Melee-PvP - 203447 - Is now over!
We had an exciting battle right out of the gates with the two newcomers, HSB and Orion Interstellar swinging hard and fast!
A large initial exchange between HSB, Orion Interstellar and Interplan Tech ensued as BronzeCo observed from the shadows. The three clashed with mass force as bullets and lasers were exchanged!
The forces broke apart to regroup and reassess. Interplan Tech performed a unique special, turning their mass force to many smaller ones to confuse and distract the others. Orion Interstellar hunted down Interplan Tech, taking down one unit at at time. HSB positioned themselves for Orion Interstellar's approach, launching the final ambush to down Orion.
Then came BronzeCo from the shadows, their tanks leveling the remains of the battlefield.

Event Registration Open - City Builder - 217300
Registration is now open!
It has been a few months since our last event so we would like to begin registration for the next. This event we celebrate an end to the year and the welcoming of the season solstice.
The fifth official event will be hosted in the system of Aries and Hokah of Sector 7. This event is a non-combat, city building challenge. Each participant will be assigned a target city to grow, as well, will be provided with an [Event Package] to be used for the event.
The Participant [Event Package]:
1 x L3 Warp Gate (in orbit of target city)
1 x L1 Warp Frigate
5 x APC Structures
1 x APC Military Base
1 x MCP Megastructure
1 x OPC Spaceport
The objective: Have your city be the largest population by the time the event ends.
Event 1st Place Rewards: 1 BILLION Credits & 1 Modified Variteck, 1 Ace Fighter, 1 Heavy Bomber (each unit is level 10, loaded with artifacts)
Important Note: Spots are limited in this event so registration is first-come-first-serve.
We would also like to give special thanks to @Death and Taxes, protectorate of Aries, for providing a hospitable area and open market for this event to take place.
