Corporations Continue Policing the Sol System

Combined ground and air forces from Thrawn Synthetics attacked and destroyed
a pirate raider base located at 17:17 on the planet Earth on turn 15257.

WELLINGTON - Thrawn Synthetics and Thundersky Inc have destroyed 2 separate pirate bases in the Sol System in recent turns. The pirate groups operating out of the bases were reported to be attacking cargo shipments and stealing the goods being transported. No reports have indicated if the pirate groups were working together, but investigators have noted a similarity in their pirating operations.

The raider group on the planet earth has been linked with over 100 raids on various cargo shipments, with attacks still occurring with some frequency. Though their main base has been destroyed by forces from Thrawn Synthetics, rogue groups appear to be continuing the attacks. These raids appear to be random, with no particular resources being targeted. Thrawn Synthetics reportedly received upward of 63,000,000 credits from the government for their work in defeating the rebels.

Representatives from Thrawn stated, "Thrawn Industries feels that it is its responsibility to act against piracy on earth. We may have been targeted by raiders but even if we weren't, we always act in the interest of Earth." A statement from AristocraTech reaffirmed the defense contract with Thrawn Synthetics, which is given in exchange for his grant of the port of charter. An official stated that "His attack on the pirate base was well within his duties, not to mention his rights" as planetary defender.
Thundersky Inc. has had their own run-in with raiders on the planet Mercury. Representatives from the corporation stated that the rebels attacked one of their industrial facilities located on the planet. The corporation acted swiftly to counter the problem by destroying the raider base. "Thundersky Inc. believes in fixing the problem instead of a single attack," said CEO Lightning Strikes!. He continued, "Thankfully there is a small number of corps reacting to such attacks, as the pirates getting uppity would not be good for in-system trade."

New Cities Growing as Earth Declines

Industrial operations across the galaxy have provided new opportunities for disenfranchised workers on earth. Pictured above are auxiliary support structures of Corp1234567890's metal mining operations on Luyten III.

VALLEJO, LUYTEN VI - As the planet earth continues an unprecedented decline in population, some former citizens of earth have found new opportunities outside of the Sol system.

In the previous 1000 turns, Sector 1 has seen 13 new cities incorporated across 6 different solar systems, ranging from Naertho to Luyten, and even to Centauri, a system which often sees little in population growth. Of these systems, Luyten has seen the most growth, with 6 cities incorporated. Panther has also seen an influx of citizens from earth, with 3 cities being incorporated.

Much of this growth can be attributed to population resettlement from earth. Following the systemic crash of earths’ economy and the lack of sufficient industry and services on the planet, some former citizens of earth have sought new opportunities outside of the planets’ atmosphere.

These workers often find employment at the new mining and production facilities being established across the sector. As more workers resettle to these new locations, communities form around the industry, and a city is soon established.

One of these newly incorporated cities is centered around the expanding metal mining operations on Luyten III. The city, “Bus”, is the first permanent sign of established civilization on the planet, which is a gas giant in the Luyten sector.

Corp 1234567890, among the largest and most influential corporations in the galaxy, owns the metal mining facilities located in Bus. When asked about his influence in the growth of new cities in the galaxy, a representative of the company took no responsibility for the incorporation of new communities. “Humanity spreads just fine on its own, Corporations are needed only to grow it “taller”. I see it as a symbiotic relationship.” Later, when commenting on the future of the city, the representative for Corp 1234567890 stated “I may keep an eye on it, cultivate it as a market for excess goods, and trading.”

Intentional or not, Corp 1234567890, along with several other large corporations, are having a direct impact in the spread of humanity.

Utopia and Ark Cease Hostilities

Mexico City during a heavy bombardment from The Ark Group. Horrific civilian casualties resulted
from the assault on the city. This city represents numerous other humanitarian disasters resulting
from the conflict.

CAPE TOWN - The war between Utopia and The Ark Group is coming to a resolution, according to official statements from members of the Utopia guild. Subliminal, the Vice Chairman of Utopia, issued a public statement declaring that Utopia has been defeated by the members of the Ark guild, and wished to cease hostilities to avoid more unnecessary losses due to war. The statement took responsibility for approving the attacks and also made a formal apology to Ark members.

Subliminal stated: “I gave my approval for all of the attacks and for Razor. I apologize for these attacks and promise to the best of my ability to assist in reparations and as I am fond of saying, “Peace on Earth.” This message was echoed by two other members of Utopia, the Azura Consortium and Broseidon Industries.

Members on both sides have begun to cease hostilities against one another, while plans for an agreement are being established. Machina Morituri had set terms for possible peace agreements that are to be accepted by turn 17155 by members of Utopia. Morituri has presented two options: either Utopia must pay reparations and refrain from any hostile actions for 5000 turns, or face banishment to the Rigil system. It appears Utopia has accepted the terms of the first agreement and will seek to avoid any banishment.

Some corporations appear to be concerned about the terms of the agreement. Umbrella Corp is pushing for mutual disarmament and reparations from Honeypot for damage and destruction of his facilities. Honeypot has not made an public statement at the time of this posting.

BREAKING: Umbrella Declares War with Ark Group, Other Corporations

MEXICO CITY - Umbrella Corporation has just announced itself to be in a permanent state of war against the Ark Group and all its affiliated organizations.

The volatile corporation also declared that a state of war exists between themselves and any other corporation who tolerates a state of peace and neutrality with Ark. In theory this could mean that Umbrella is at war with most, if not all, corporations in the sector. Umbrella has called this decision “final and irreversible”, apparently to convey their stance in the strongest terms.

This announcement of war comes after the long process of ratifying a treaty between Ark and Utopia following the devastating war that killed millions and caused still untold amounts of collateral damage on the planet Earth.

Umbrella has been in complete opposition to the peace terms set forth by the Ark Group, stating that Ark “perpetually puts the community interests in direct confrontation with its own ambitions, with arrogant disregard for Earth based corporations or Earth’s population itself.”

When Umbrella was recently asked by GNN about the state of their relationship with Ark, the corporation stated that it was unable to provide any comment.

Umbrella Corp Dissolves

Industrial centers owned by Umbrella Corp are now vacated, with all valuable materials stripped
and sold for scrap. This otherwise operational production facility now stands as a sobering reminder
of the costs andrisks of war.

MEXICO CITY - In the midst of a dramatic turn of events following the war between the Ark Group and Cygnos, Umbrella Corp has liquidated all assets in the Sector. It is unknown where the company CEO, SkroZ, is located at this time. The liquidation of the company comes after a public statement from Umbrella Corp announcing that an open state of war exists between themselves and Ark, along with caveats that effectively put them at war with all corporations in the game.

Umbrella Corp has frequently cited injustices and bullying from members of the Ark Group. SkroZ was specifically very upset about attacks from Cygnos against assets owned by their sub-corporation, Skynet. Cygnos claimed that these corporations were in violation of the Terms of Use as stated under the subsection “Multiple Accounts and Abuse”. These events were contributing factors that helped start the war that saw Mexico City destroyed and annihilated a Spaceport owned by the Ark Group.

It is unclear if Umbrella will return in the future. Their subsidiary, Skynet, continues commercial operations on Earth. Analysts have been unable to determine how significant the liquidation of Umbrella will be to the operations of Skynet.

Humanity Takes Historic Step Forward

Yrsa, located in Sector 7, is the first system that can be called home for humanity outside of Sector 1. Though
settled on a Terran planet, transmission malfunctions at the time of publishing have not allowed pioneers to
send holo-photos of the newly settled planet over the vast distance yet.

MEXICO CITY – History has proven that humankind continuously seeks and pursues new frontiers – places of promise, opportunity and freedom. This week marks a new milestone for humanity, as settlers have reported a safe landing in a new sector within the Orion Cluster.

The group of pioneers and adventurers has landed in the Yrsa system in sector 7. This system boasts a temperate Terran planet and a rocky planet, along with numerous icy planets and 2 planets with toxic atmospheres. The temeperate planet, names Yrsa I, is where the settlers have established their colony, named Sampo after the leader of the expedition. The system itself is orbiting a type 1 star, similar to the stars at Centauri and Rigil.

The sector as of yet has little involvement from the large corporations in the galaxy. Some of this may be due to inaccessibility of travel to the sector. Experts believe that the travel to Yrsa through the Moon warpgate would take almost 100 turns to arrive. Traveling with the highest powered conventional sublight propulsion could take over 2000 turns to make the journey.

These factors present a temporary obstacle to inter-sector trade, though analysts believe it will only be a matter of time until corporations begin ventures on the planet.

The pioneers to Yrsa consist mostly of disenfranchised peoples who have faced considerable hardship due to the recent warring between Ark and Utopia. These individuals have sought to begin a new life away from the strife and politics that are apart of Sector 1. Unfortunately for these colonists, the problems they have sought to leave behind may soon be following them.

Corporations Establish Roots in Yrsa

Yrsa I, pictured on the left, is approximately 10% larger than the planet Earth.

SAMPO, YRSA I – Corporate pioneers have begun to relocate operations to the Yrsa system as the fledging population there begins to rise. Nearly 3 million people can call Yrsa their home now, with the population concentrated in Sampo, the only main city in the system.

Galactic News has been able to contact the CEO of Torq Tech, Jay Krupp. Torq Tech is the major corporate leader in the new sector. The corporation has relocated their operations entirely to the Yrsa I, and is currently monopolizing almost all of the demands of the growing population there.

The corporation appears to view themselves at the leading edge of progress for civilization. When speaking with Mr. Krupp, he stated that his work in the city of Sampo provides “a new start for the disenfranchised, and a brave new world for those interested in exploring a completely new sector.”

The leadership of Torq Tech sees themselves as laying the foundation for the future of the newly settled sector. “I see Sampo as (…) an anchor. As the first city in a new sector, the success, or failure, of Sampo sets a precedent for the sector. We can expect little to no help from Sol, especially with the warp gates as low a level as they are.”

Torq Tech also appears to have ideological reasons for relocating. During the interview with Krupp, he appeared to indirectly express his frustration with politics in Sector 1. “I look at the new sector as a refuge for those who feel like they have been caught up in all of the politics. They were not able to opt out of them in Sector 1, as the fleets could be redirected with relative ease, especially with the warp gates. The new sector offers them an alternative.”

Torq Tech has currently completed a level 1 warp gate at Yrsa I. This gate provides the only possible way for individuals to travel the long distance back to Sector 1; even with the gate however, the length of the return journey makes it impractical save for the direst of needs.

Imperial Forces Bombard Inactive Research Facilities

Thrawn Industries had a frigate destroyed over Centauri Vd by forces from Titan Industrial. The frigate was attacking
idle production facilities and has caused controversy concerning the overcrowding at Artifact locations.

WAIANAE, CENTAURI Vd: Research facilities owned by Weyland Yutani Corp were attacked without warning by Thrawn Industries in recent turns. One of the facilities, located in Panther, was completely destroyed by advanced scout craft deployed by Thrawn Industries. The other, located in Centauri, was enduring bombardment from an attack frigate before it was destroyed by regional defensive forces owned by Titan Industrial.

The frigate, Jakku II, crashed on the moons surface and is currently under the control of Titan Industrial forces. Titan stated that their actions were conducted in defense of their installations and the other corporations located there. In a press conference following the incident, Titan seemed concerned about the security of their assets in Waianae, stating: “I think the incident emphasizes the lack of security at the Waianae location, and I will thus be posting a permanent garrison there.”

The hostile attacks, which appears to be an imperialistic action by Thrawn Industries, has drawn public questioning from other corporations. When asked about the event, Thrawn issued the following statements: “As Emperor I see it as my responsibility to take action in any and all situations that have a significant effect on Earth based Corporations. My motivation was to reduce the Overcrowding caused by inactive facilities that were costing Earth based Corporations millions in extra credits.” This raises questions as to just how far the reach of Thrawn’s Imperial might will govern.

Thrawn Industries was recently elected as Emperor of the planet Earth. His new administration has moved quickly in changing the established order on the planet Earth, and has made some significant changes to make-up of the orbital structures located there.

During a public forum on the event, Thrawn stated that he had received a warning of intervention by Titan Industrial forces, but did not or was not willing to withdraw his frigate. “I commend his (or her) swift response and behavior. I was not expecting there to be much response thus hitting the location on the way home was practical, though risky.” Thrawn noted that reparations could be made to Weyland if required to keep the peace.

The spokesperson for Thrawn Industries stated that the corporation will “always act in the best interests of Earth in a strict yet approachable manner.” In light of these recent events, corporations will be left wondering exactly how far Thrawn Industries’ “strict and approachable” policy will allow their imperialistic forces to reach.

Sector-wide Terrorism Met with Swift Action

Wrecked hulks of the combined fleet of Peoples Galaxy and WudWerx destroyed outside of the warp gate at Gulyaev V. Salvage crews
are searching the wreckage for pertinent information that could help uncover some of the mystery surrounding the group.

PHOENIX - A sector-wide series of attacks made by what appear to be the combined forces of Peoples Galaxy and WudWurx has been swiftly defeated by the combined security and naval forces of corporations across the sector. Several corporations have declared war on the groups, and have also been exiled from the planet earth.

At this time, most assets belonging to People’s Galaxy– including their corporate headquarters on earth - have been forcibly liquidated by corporations, with the remaining forces to be dealt with swiftly, according to sources. WudWerx still maintains their corporate headquarters in Phoenix, but similar to Peoples Galaxy, has experienced a loss of nearly all of their assets.

Motivation behind the attack appears to be centered on past incidents involving recent catastrophic civilian crises on earth. People’s Galaxy made a public declaration during the conflict that gives some insight into their rationale behind the attacks. The corporation specifically cited the geobooster crash that earth experienced, as well as the devastation of Mexico City during the ARK/Utopia war, as the primary fuel that motivated the attacks.

The statement also included a call for other corporations to join their group.

Jackson Wolf of Black Fleet Corp made public statements about recruitment attempts from People’s Galaxy. Wolf said “[People’s Galaxy] represents a small group of players that want to carry out attacks across the galaxy when the time is right. That it would require making an alt for this purpose, I told him no and just kept an eye on him after that.”

It remains unclear exactly how many corporations are involved in this group, which Wolf has labeled as “terrorists”. At this time GNN can only link the two aforementioned alt groups as part of this movement. Thrawn Industries appears to have leads concerning who exactly is behind the attacks. Thrawn was not immediately available to comment on this matter.

System Analysis

Sol
Sol is currently the only system seeing strong population growth, being driven by population gains on the planet earth nearing 1 million per turn. This system provides opportunity for nearly every product type, with certain types of components yielding good prices are large volumes. Synthetics and Power Cells are very weak at the moment.

Corporations looking for business in Sol have numerous opportunities to sell products: Earth maintains a good demand in large volumes of most product types; Jupiter and Mars both provide a good secondary market for sellers to provide larger amounts of goods to; and the rest of the system can provide quick opportunities to make a good profit.

Gulyaev
The Gulyaev system is seeing a small decline in population across the system. This provides some opportunities to sell large quantities of goods for higher prices than can be found in the Sol system. End Products are weak in this system, but there is a tremendous demand for raw materials that can be taken advantage of.

Corporations looking to serve the Gulyaev market have 5 planets with populations over 1 million. This provides enough market to be able to sell large quantities across the system. Corporations who supply Raw Materials should look to sell on Gulyaev II and Gulyaev VII, where they will make significant profits on their materials.

Luyten
The only other system showing positive growth, Luyten also features a strong opportunity for corporations to establish themselves. Raw Materials are also in high demand in this system. Almost half the population of the entire system is located in one city, Vallejo; this provides a large quantity of demand, but prices in the city are lower than many of the smaller cities throughout the system.

Corporations looking to work in Luyten should look for some of the lucrative opportunities outside of the Vallejo urban center, or find products within the city that have higher demand levels, especially products in the Civilian Services catergory. In all Luyten can be a good system for corporations to find decent opportunities that will return a good profit.

Centauri
The “second system”, Centauri is a system with 3 significant planets, all with population over 5 million. This makes for great opportunities to establish efficient operations that can service these 3 well-populated planets. While not having any extreme demands needs compared to Gulyaev and Luyten, this system boasts moderate demand in several categories, with raw materials being higher on Centauri I and Centauri XI.

Selling in this system can allow for great efficiency, as corporations can focus on the 3 population centers, and have enough demand within the system to support mid-sized manufacturing operations. Certain product categories will allow for a strong profit to be made here.

Yrsa
The only system outside of Sector 1, Yrsa provides a more isolated environment for those seeking to avoid the more complicated and sometimes volatile markets in Sector 1. The system hosts only 1 planet with a large population, but has numerous locations with a small population. This makes for a large number of locations that have high raw material demands. Smaller operations can flip a great profit off of these underserved planets.

Corporations looking to work here should keep their operations from growing too large, and instead seek to diversify their product offerings to avoid oversaturating the smaller market size. Doing this can provide a stable selling environment with low competition from other corporations.

Rigil
This system has recently undergone a resettlement effort, and currently has 3 settled planets. More than half the system population resides on Rigil I, a planet which hosts only 2 cities. This provides an easy opportunity for quick profits at a decent demand level, especially for those looking to provide components or civilian services. The low overall population level makes working in this system more difficult than some of the larger markets.

Any prospective corporations looking for a new challenge or good side profits should seek to sell in Rigil. This system is quiet, which provides much less volatility in the market, and has enough population to sustain smaller operations. This system has only a few, yet dedicated, corporations seeking to help the system flourish. Other corporations can take advantage of the growth potential of this system.

Corporation Highlight: Hunter

Arriving on the scene on near turn 20,520, Hunter has seen strong growth as a corporation. Hunter holds a level 8 Corporate headquarters and is ranked 20th in corporation net worth, having a value of over 8.5 billion. This net worth is not kept in cash however; hunter holds less than 1 billion on cash, meaning the rest is invested in physical assets.

This corporation is highly invested in its’ ongoing enterprises. Hunter is ranked #7 in the galaxy for industrial production. Nearly all of this industrial output is invested in 2 areas: research facilities across the galaxy, and their ongoing efforts to redevelop the Rigil system.

Hunter moved their main production facilities to Rigil shortly after StarCorp began their resettlement program there. The young corporation now supports nearly all the population of that system through their industries. The corporation is currently operating at a profit, in spite of the extensive research program they have across the galaxy.

Despite the fact that no artifact locations reside in Rigil, Hunter has succeeded in establishing 6 different research facilities across the galaxy, even as far as Gilliam in Sector 7. These facilities keep Hunter moving ahead as a pioneer in new and developing technologies.

The corporation appears to be invested in a long-term plan to grow and maintain the populations of Rigil. Hunter owns assets at all 4 orbital locations around Rigil I, which have been a key part of developing that planet. This young but successful corporation appears to be “all-in” on whatever enterprise they set their minds to do.

And for their part, it seems to be working.

Mexico City Destroyed as Thundersky is Targeted Across Galaxy

The initial bombardment of Mexico City caught most citizens by surprise. Primarily targeting military assets, fighting soon moved into urban centers, seeing most of the cities populated areas reduced to rubble. Civilian casualties are estimated in the millions.

MEXICO CITY – A smoky haze fills the sky over the GNN Headquarters, the location of yet another battle in the often war-ravaged city. The corporation JBD, led by CEO Jimbobdaz, launched a full scale offensive against assets owned by Thundersky on turn 26894. The fighting soon abated as the forces of Thundersky broke under an offensive that was soon joined by several other corporations.

The attack in Mexico City has been reported to have been conducted under the authority of Emperor Thrawn.

This combined operation appeared to be targeting the vast resources Thundersky held in that city. The corporation was rumored to be moving towards liquidation, and many corporations did not wish to see these assets lost. The raids on the city lasted 255 turns in total, finally ending on turn 27149. The raids were not only affecting Thundersky, as the city now stands in ruins once again, after having finally rebuilt following the war with Utopia. It is unclear at this time exactly how many civilians were killed during the fighting and the subsequent operations.
This action in Mexico City has ignited attacks and raids across the galaxy against assets held by Thundersky. Heavy raids are still underway in portions of Luyten, Gilliam, and Mars against the corporations assets. Galactic population loss is expected to be in the tens of millions.

The actions in Mexico City have brought condemnation from several corporations, including Nynoxaff, Madness in the Galaxy, and Echos Echo. These corporations bemoan the loss of civilian life due to the fighting. Corporations involved in the fighting claim they took measures to avoid unnecessary deaths.

When asked about the civilian losses, JBD responded: “Of course we regret the loss of civilians... the loss of so many cheap workers and not forgetting the fine ass is a little troubling but let’s face it... they are only Mexicans, I’m not racist though, my wife is Asian and keeps the house in tip top condition... also I know nearly three black people.”

Sector 7 Research Facilities Destroyed

A view inside the recently destroyed Research Facility owned by Hunter located on Fievez. This location produced cutting edge technology that was shipped back for use in Sector 1.

FIEVEZ, GILLIAM IV: The most distant settlements of humankind faced turmoil this week as Live Inc attacked and destroyed numerous research facilities in Fievez. The city, located in the Gilliam system of Sector 7, was home to numerous research stations owned by corporations based in both sectors.

Beginning on turn 27962, ground and air forces owned by Live Inc attacked and destroyed the defensive forces owned by Titan Industrial, and proceeded to destroy many of the research stations on the planet. The action has brought condemnation from numerous corporations, stating the actions to be rash and poorly conceived.

Live Inc is looking to invest heavily in Sector 7 according to public announcements from the corporation, and hopes to create a Sector largely independent of outside corporations. When asked about the attacks, Live Inc stated “My actions were motivated because of the people who had come to Sector 7. Some wanted the artifacts, but helped minimally. This seemed unfair to me. Why should they get the benefits while doing little and raise the Ocrowd for people who were helping?”

It appears reparations have been paid to numerous corporations from the inflicted damage. According to Echos Echo, “reparations have been made, though considerably less than the ‘true value’ of such structures.” In spite of this, several corporations appear satisfied with the repayments that have been made.

At this time it is unclear if this action will aid Live Inc with their goals in building Sector 7. A representative from Echos Echo has stated that they will be removing their defensive fleet from the Sector, leaving DianaTech as the primary defensive force in the area. This withdrawal of forces appears to align with Live Inc’s goals in the Sector.

Live Inc currently has ACP assets in route to the sector in an apparent expansion of operations there.

Industries, Orbital Gun Destroyed

A view of the the final detonation of the Orbital Gun over earth as seen from a nearby freighter.

MEXICO CITY – The terrorist group known as Peoples Galaxy has claimed responsibility for a wide range of terrorist strikes over the past 2 days. This includes the orbital gun positioned over earth, maintained as part of the EDF by Echos Echo. Other attacks targeted research stations on the moon, as well as isolated industries in Sol, Gulyaev, and Luyten.

Attacks began on turn 29054 with ground forces operating under the name of Wistermeats attacking earth based transports near Rabat. This was soon followed up with a surprise strike by Peoples Galaxy against the orbital gun, which was destroyed within 2 turns. The attacking fleets moved to attack industries on the moon before being destroyed by combined fleets as part of the EDF.

Approximately one day later, Stellar Voltage began attacking undefended production facilities across the galaxy. Several facilities were destroyed before local forces were able to respond. At this time it appears the offensive forces of the corporation have been destroyed. Stellar Voltage claims to be associated with Peoples Galaxy.

Peoples Galaxy has sent a list of demands that appears to be targeted against all corporations. These demands include the disarmament of all corporations, the formulation of a Peoples Army, and the abandonment of all rulership charters by corporations. These demands are considered extreme and widely considered to meet total rejection by galactic corporations.

It appears that Peoples Galaxy may be run through a network of players, as evidenced by the public comments from Stellar Voltage: “The PeoplesGalaxy is anyone who has grown tired of militarized corporations disregarding how sacred Earth is.” Later he stated that “It might be easier for you to pretend it is only one person, but you are only fooling yourself.”

Corporations are urged to keep defensive forces ready to defend against any further strikes from the group.

Peoples Galaxy did not respond when asked to comment.

System Analysis

Sol
Note: The most populated system has received a setback in inter-system trade, as the warp gate located at the moon has been destroyed. Plans exist to deploy a new warp gate near Earth in the near future. Corporations engaging in intersystem trade are asked to reroute to the gates at Io and Mars until a new gate is functional.

Sol remains the strongest business environment in the galaxy, providing a strong population base on earth to sell large quantities of goods at fair prices. High demand products on Earth are a great opportunity to make large profits. Components such as Fabrics, Polymers, Construction, and Electronics all offer prices in excess of 1000/unit. Synthetics is the only product in low demand as it continues to be oversupplied on the planet.

In addition to Earth, the settlement on Mars has continued to gain momentum, providing an excellent secondary market outside of Earth. The planet has strict regulations on buying goods from cities, and restrictions also exist concerning who can supply civilian services to certain cities on the planet. Traders and those who look to supply civilian services should seek business elsewhere.

Prospective sellers should also keep their eyes on Mercury, which is currently experiencing growth, and appears poised to become another great market outside of Earth.

Luyten
The second most populated system, Luyten, is also home to the second largest city in the galaxy. Approximately 70% of the system population resides in this great city, Vallejo. This city is price controlled and features a closed market, with unauthorized corporations only able to sell when products exceed certain demand levels. The city has even tighter restrictions in Civil Services and purchasing of goods.

Outside of Vallejo, only two cities exist with a population in excess of 1 million. The Luyten system currently provides little opportunity for profit to outside corporations. If approval is obtained to sell in the city of Vallejo, it can be a profitable venture, but corporations who hold monopolies on products make it a difficult market to break into. Unauthorized corporations are advised to seek business elsewhere.

Gulyaev
The home of ARK group, Gul has seen perhaps the sharpest decline in population in the wake of the new rules instituted by the Terran Federation. Several smaller cities have been abandoned as they failed to meet the industry requirements to keep them incorporated. This decline in population across the system should not be equated to a weakening of the market however, as the system still boasts 8 cities with a population of over 1 million people.

Gulyaev remains the greatest overall selling environment outside of Sol. Corporations looking to sell or move industry to this system should first consult the System Charter and familiarize themselves with the laws and regulations there. Prospective sellers should also check charters for individual cities, as restrictions can vary from city to city.

Centauri
Centauri has small settlements scattered across the system, but Centauri VI is the only planet with a significant population, in excess of 10 million. The planet features 4 cities, which provides a decent opportunity to sell products at a moderate volume. Outside of Centauri VI, few opportunities exist.

The future of the system is somewhat unclear, as no corporations currently hold ruling titles on any planet, and several once settled planets are now nearly disserted. Titan Industrial maintains a strong presence in the system; the continued presence of this corporation appears to keep the system from collapsing. Corporations are certainly welcome to sell in this system and settle industry here; however caution and careful planning should be taken before starting up significant industry in this system.

Rigil
The planet of Rigil I appears to be the next great market forcing its way into the system. A few corporations have committed large quantities of assets and industry to the planet, with strong population growth coming as a result of this. The planet features only two cities, but holds a combined population of nearly 14 million. No significant cities currently exist on other planets. With continued growth and investment, this system could develop into the strongest market outside of Sol.

Corporations looking to serve this market will find certain end products and components in very high demand. This can make for very profitable sales for corporations. Raw materials provide little opportunity for profit at the moment. Both cities feature restrictions on buying products as well as a closed monopoly on civilian services.

Gilliam
Isolated in Sector 7, this system features 1 significant city, with a population of 6 million. This environment provides unique opportunities and challenges that cannot be found in Sector 1. Corporations located here are committed and determined, but also open and welcoming to newcomers. This system provides opportunity for those who seek to escape the more competitive markets in Sol.

With the nearby Yrsa system seeing marginal growth, Sector 7 remains as a settlement project, and does not boast a strong selling environment. Corporations relocating to this system should contact local corporations to avoid an overcrowding of product supply. Corporations not relocating to Sector 7 should seek the more lucrative profits within Sector 1.
