Hey this is obsidian church (Having a forum bug atm Dread is looking into, keeps resetting me to this.) Divine Treasury is my IRL friend that just started playing yesterday, not an alt, I just gave him a bunch of free stuff to get him up and running.
Though I am tempted to get an alt with the new accelerated start, since I can barely sustain the upkeep on my army now. Ideally alts shouldn't be allowed, but since they are, may as well use em. |

Yeah I can imagine stopping people from multi boxing being impossible. But still if its not allowed those with "honor" or whatever to call might not use it. It just feels to much as a cheat. For example: if you made a alt for helping with the upkeep of your army wouldn't that be feeding? In theory you could have double the army power you have now.
@Grandor Speak for yourself, you cant claim that there is only 1 reason to make another account. I doubt allot of player will get bored with the logistics limit or finish line as you call it. You have indeed written many ideas about it and all of them create new finish lines. Obsidian isnt godlike, compared to the general players he has allot of military power but I think that's because only a few are building/spending credits on military on the same lvl as obsidian. Grandor compared with other players you are also godlike, have you noticed the credits in you account? You could also field a large army if you choose so.
Absolutely true, I am crippling my economy in order to field my guild-sized army, and I am constantly rubbing against the ceiling in order to increase it in size any further without going into the red, soon I will be at a point where I "NEED" an alt in order to get it any bigger, as going over the military logistics cap gets EXPENSIVE. Good news for people is that I'm not planning to go full asshole on everyone. Yes I wiped out the developer in-game, but he started that little skirmish for fun. edited by Valhalla on 6/9/2017 |

Free accounts have their HQ and ONLY their HQ bound to earth. All this means is they don't get HQ bonuses on anything built off of earth. |

While I think you were a little heavy handed with the nerf on some ground units. (Artillery are literally described as anti-large ship units, but now do nothing to ships.) I admit it was a needed change, as there was no good reason to build spaceships before cause ground units eclipsed them. At least you didn't nerf aircraft vs ships so they are still the counter to ships they are supposed to be. Sadly this change means I need to get rid of "standard" artillery, as they no longer serve a purpose for their non-existant hp levels.
By the way Hutton (New york) I'd swap you heroic infantry, xenos, and commandos for those Battlemechs if you want. I got a bunch to spare atm. They may be useless in my fleet, but I can still find a use for them defensively or something.
Details Smaller version of Ion Cannons that defend vs ships but with homing abilities. Very effective against ground targets and large ships but very vulnerable.

Also there needs to be an actual counter to variteks, currently they are the only unit in the game with no real counter whatsoever, and no corvettes and destroyers are not a counter, as variteks ANNHILATE armies of them by the droves at higher levels. There needs to be a unit that HARD counters them, as they counter everything very effectively, and make fighters totally useless as variteks kill bombers almost as easily as fighters, while also killing fighters with ease, and no other ground unit does anything to them.

While I still think variteks need an actual counter, the buff to fighters (Previously the most worthless aircraft.) versus ships make it at least closer to where it should be balance wise. Overall this seems to be a good balance pass.
Looking forward to both the major pve content addition (Us combat focused players really need this. As combat events are really rare right now. And quite easy.) and the mega-structures addition will be great for everyone, give us all something to band together to create. (Or destroy, whatever.) Plus I get my "Doom Cannons" you promised in beta. :P |

That seems fair now, I was mainly annoyed by fighters being utterly eclipsed by variteks, and even having variteks counter fighters AND bombers, which was the fighters job. |
