That sounds like it would make abuse by strong players easier. But of course it isn't that hard now, and there is relatively little of it, so maybe that's ok.

About their being no TerFed elsewhere in the galaxy, perhaps rulers can get a decision (like the banishement- once a week and only with majority vote) to add a unit to local TerFed. Construction cost is paid for by the ruler, but they don't have to pay support. City rulers can only create small infantry (maybe mechanised or armor) units, planet rulers would get to build smaller ships (destroyer and below, or something) and Starlords would get the ability to add whole Monoliths to the TerFed fleet (and Battleships/Dreadnaughts, psht, who cares?) The risk of course is that once election goes the wrong way, those units may turn on their old master (if he is "banished" by the new regime.)

It would be nice if the Wait order could be set to a specific turn (as well as being a specific set of turns long) this would really help with synchronized actions (most obviously attacks on stationary targets, but probably some of the more complicated ingredient moving too)

OMG, EotFS had so much promise, and it was cut down so badly. We used to have a 40-odd rule list on preventing abuse, one of which was that you couldn't loot the Eye (Imperial secret police) until the ministry was taken up by a player (it was a source of some easy resource loot and a free transport unit.) I really wish someone made a proper sequel to that.

I have the opposite view.
Running 2-3 accounts is work. And if someone wants to do it (well), I think they should.
What we should do is better enforce rules on 'slave' alts (the ones not intended to profit- like maybe they buy your stuff, or they hold on to your military until you need it, selling it back just before going bankrupt and then picking it up again, or you do whatever the next version of "attack your alt to get out of paying reparations" exploit will be.) The rule of thumb should be: "If you can't tell, after a 10 minute investigation, if an Alt is 90% not actually their guildmate, they should keep it."

1) for the record, I don't have any alts in this game.
2) that last statement came out confusing. I'm saying if you are 90% sure it is an Alt- ban 'em (well, report them).

I've been in numerous battles with Raiders, where they had products on location but none would be picked up.
Here are some examples:
BattleID: 4203-4205 no enemies, but no resource pickups
BattleID: 4184 enemies destroyed, no resource pickups
BattleID: 3828 enemies just fine, no resource pickups

Here's an old one where resources were taken, so you know it's possible:

Both. Mostly I radi with the "specific corporation" and "Any Product" settings, but I've tried to set specific types of cargo to match what was on the ground, without effect.

But if a warp gate costs 150k/turn to maintain (that's at level 1) and it only costs 1k/size to take a ride on it, I don't believe anyone is going to make money running one (you need 30 freigters to use it every single turn just to break even). Certainly not on any planet other than Earth. Why not let owners set the price, but limit changing it to once a week (1000 turns?)

Also, note that a guild icon is required. It doesn't say that, but the guild won't create otherwise.

So, Ive been thinking. You know how cities spawn where there is industry? But they do not actually benefit from it. It would be nice if having industry at a city added some inhabitants (I think 1 inhabitant/10 production/turn is a good number.)
"But Ay, I hear you cry, isn't 1 ihabitant/ 10 production just pissing in the wind?"
Well, first of all, don't underestimate the power of a small change in an exponential system. But more importantly the smallness of the change is part of the point- we don't want to seriously change the familiar system, just give a boost to newborn or already dying cities. For most cities on Earth the change will be nigh imperceptible. For places like Vallejo or Meges- crucial.

It sounds like you have issues with the name, Lord Mayor, not with the substance. Maybe it should be named something like Orbital Building Survey Service?

Also, the scale is wrong for the kind of spaceport you are talking about- every city already has a space port, and depending on how long you think turns take possibly a massive one. An average Earth city has the capacity to process over 150 thousand units of goods, and easily half of that would come through the space port it already has.

Why didn't you? I kind of toyed with the idea myself (vis-a-vis Milnor) but never had to decide if I was up for it (resources were plentiful enough that people only sold stuff and didn't buy it.)

Chireno Accords: Discussion

As the Naertho System opens, a group of executives gathers in the temporary settlement of Chireno to discuss a way to manage overcrowding in the newly discovered Artifact Site.
Here is a basic proposal based off one made for Ryvvik, it will be updated as new bits of legislation are suggested or old ones are removed:
      • Article 1: Timing.
        • 1.1 Corporations already on site must bring themselves into compliance by 100 turns after this agreement is voted in
        • 1.2 Newly arriving corporations must bring themselves into compliance within 100 turns of arriving (but not before turn mentioned in 1.1)
      • Article 2: Restrictions
        • 2.1 Any single corporation is limited to a single level 10 (or below) research center in Ridgely.
        • 2.2 Every guild may maintain a maximum of 3 research centers in Ridgely.
          • 2.2.1 Corporations with HQ located in Naertho do not count to this limit.
          • 2.2.1 Please decide among yourselves who will keep them- the guild is held collectively responsible for this.
        • 2.3 No two alts may both maintain a research center in Ridgely. Not even if they are in the same guild.
      • Article 3: Economic Contribution
        • 3.1 No contribution will be required
      • Article 4: Enforcement
        • 4.1 Non-complying corporations will be warned by a representative decided upon in article 5, and asked to temporarily shut down their research center until they can bring themselves in compliance with article 2.
        • 4.2 Corporations refusing to comply with the rules within 100 turns after being warned will have their assets in Ridgely destroyed by forces decribed in section 5.5.
        • 4.3 Corporation violating the rules for the 3rd time in 30 IRL days will not be warned, nor will the representative wait the prescribed period from section 4.2
        • 4.4 Corporation violating rules 5.6 and 5.7 (attacking others) will not be warned and their assets may be destroyed.
          • 4.4.1 Should an agreement be reached between the attacker and all of the attacked to resolve the issue peacefully, the Reperentative must not destroy the attackers assets.
      • Article 5: Management
        • 5.1 Corporations present in Ridgely will pick up a Representative from among themselves to enforce these rules.
          • 5.1.1 Corporations are considered "present in Ridegely" if they maintain an active research center (except where it goes against Article 2) or HQ in Riddgely.
          • 5.1.2 Corporations are explicitly not considered "present" if they are, at the time, violating Article 2.
        • 5.2 A corporation present in Ridegely may nominate itself for the representative position.
        • 5.2.1. A corporation nominated for representative postition may withdraw its nomination voulanatrily at any time, and will lose Representative status if they have it.
        • 5.3 A corporation present in Ridegely may support a nominated representative.
          • 5.3.1 Every corporation present in Ridegely has one vote regardless of how many HQs, research centers and/or other buildings they have.
          • 5.3.2 A corporation may support as many or as few nominated representatives as it wishes.
        • 5.4 A nominated representative supported by the most corporations becomes the Representative.
          • 5.4.1 If two or more corporations are supported by an equal amount of votes, larger than that for any other nominees, they are both considered Representatives together.
        • 5.5 It is the representatives role to enforce these rules (see artcile 4,) they may however enlist help from other corporations.
          • 5.5.1 Statement of intent: While it is everyones moral duty to help, there is no penalty for refusing to help the Representative (unless otherwise stated in the accords.)
          • 5.5.2 When enlisting help, the Representative must use clear language to specify who is being attacked and why.
        • 5.6. No corporation other than the Representative, or corporations enlisted through sestion 5.5 for this particular attack, may attack assets in Naertho system belonging a corporation "present in Ridgely".

        • 5.7 The Representative may not attack corporations that have not violated these rules in Ridgely.
          • 5.7.1 Any corporation that has been demonstrated to have violated rule 5.7 is ineligible to be a Representative for 30 IRL days since the last offense. Their status as nominated representative, if they have it, is rescinded for the duration.
          • 5.7.2 A corporation is considered to have been the Representative for the purpose of these rules, including but not limited to sections 5.5 and 5.6, until their offense was brought up (or until it was lost through other means, unrelated to subsection 5.7.1.)

    I like NYCs idea of having a place to trade resources to a player in a more streamlined fashion (even if it is just 1 player.) The obtuseness of the trade system has been bugging me since forever. Can you implement that too? Maybe in the next update?
