Only your HQ will move. You can keep your factory in place. Your Corp HQ can make another one after it moves. A lot of players have seveal factories all over the place |

I suggest that demand for crops and meat should be weighted more heavily than other products towards population growth. With the possible exception of cotton, which I believe is the only commodity in those categories that can be used to manufacture other products.
Ya know, this is a good idea. I can make the population effect on th edifferent population types for food be "over 100%" and I can also make water be more population inducing also. |

Yeah, Farms and pastures can make 6 different things each, which was one of thier advantages, but htey can only mamke one thing at a time and dont combine into anything else. Making them big on population growth is probably a good place to start |

Being logged out 30 times a day, puts me pff as well. If you want another benifit for paid accounts, a much longer timeout would be good
You don't want to use "Save Login" checkbox? It loges you in automaticaly, like on any screen you link to directly een days later. Otherwise the timeout is something like 20 minutes |

It's a troll post i'm not even concerned. We havn't even launched yet, the beta game JUST restarted 2 days ago and the only players in it right now are the Founders with paid accounts. Of course new players are not at the same STARTING advantage. Handing out nothing but paid account status and subscription time isn't going to pull in any kickstarter money,. What do you want me to do? Not allow founders to enter the game until 3 months from now? =) |

Is that true on other solar systems as well? It makes sense that earth would be the bread basket of Sol, but I can see your point.
There are farms and Pastures on other worlds, threes a chance on any planet. Desert and ocean have some, but Terran worlds have a lot |

If you zoom out to the the solar system, where you see all the planets, and hit "Show Data" so it turns into a grid, you can see all the leaders on the Overview tab |

Call it "The Oligarchs". Here was my two bits on the same Comm thread:
I also think that [Concerned Free Account Player] does kind of miss the point, but he might be wise enough to recognize that the game is not for him. The mistake is assuming that its failing because it doesnt succeeded in appealing to him when he might not, in fact, be part of the target demographic.
This is easy for me to say, of course, because I am starting at the top of the heap. The kickstarter contributors will definitely be the Barons of Sol. The closest historical analogy to BoGs setting would be the discovery, colonization and expansion of the Americas. People crossed the ocean precisely because old money had a monopoly on power and recourses in the old world. They invaded virgin land to build their own world that the old money didnt have a lock on.
It might be more palatable if you think of us old money/kickstarter players as more like NPC faction leaders than competing players. In another game we would be scripted quest givers or evil empires. We can reward you or antagonize you if choose to interact with us. We will probably ignore you if you dont. We are like unpaid staff that is moderating the behavior of the galactic governments right now. Eventually we may fall and be replaced, at which point we might pack up and try to carve out a new domain among the stars.
The Oligarchs here in this game though, are elected rulers of the planets and are motivated to help not harm the other players. To complain that there are a bunch high level players to start is probably a good thing, they are not out to nuke the other players. They are the ones that will defend your city from the Kaiju. You don't really gain anything much from attacking players (which is kind of a problem). This game is almost PvE or "loosely cooperative" like its advertised |

Hmm... problem with the battle reports messages.
Currently been involved in a number of battles specifically the following battle IDs:
Battle ID 26, Turn 647 Battle ID 30, Turn 650 Battle ID 31, Turn 651 Battle ID 36, Turn 661
However, I have only received notifications of the battle reports for battle IDs 26 and 36 - is this how it's suppose to work? Can be a bit surprising to see that there have been extra unreported battles which were not accounted for or notified.
Cheers.
I don't recall the exact mechanic, but I know it won't spam you. I think it might be one combat message max per 10 turns which would be in line with what you're seeing. It should probably be reworked so that one message shows a number of combats that gets updated as more happen until you check your message, then another new message will spawn if more attacks happen after that. |

Military contract

You want a contract type that will track that you are "Guarding" a certain corporation at a certain location for a set amount of time. That might be possible.
It would make more sense to have some sort of Escort order that makes your ships follow another one around and guard it in combat. But that is something I would have to to add to the game first. |

Im not sure what you mean by the checkbox. On the overview screen there is a list of battles and you can click on a location and it shows all the combat at that location, it takes you to the Corp >> Battle page with that location set in the search
Onthe Corp >> Battles page itself you can select battles in your system/planet or just the ones you are involved in. You can usually click on one and then there is a "Next Prev" button that you can flip through the batles with. |

City Leader?

You want the corps to elecct the city leader, but then have only the city leaders elect planet leaders and only the planet leaders elect a Star Lord. More "Republic" than "Democracy". At first that is how it was planned and it tipped to a democratic one to have more people involved.in the vote. But ya know, I'm wold consider changing it to the way you described. I'm not sure though, now that paid accounts have the benefit of voting. I kind of want to keep the biggest vote availabel to them. I can however, very easily make it so the existing rulers have a larger weight in the vote, Thats kind of a halfway of what you wanted. . I was conisdering doing this for all votes, so a Star Lord can walk into a vote in New York and vote if he wanted and it would weigh heavily. Normaly a Star Lord cant vote in a location he has ne industry but I can chang ethat to make all voting events incluide the planet ruler if its onthat planet and the star lord of that system. |

New unit Order - Repair

Vulpex wrote:
ok so I was playing around with the guard order ...
I can set a unit to guard a location until it suffers a certain percentage damage - say 50%
I do this as an order so fine so great. But I don't want it just to stop guarding at that point, I would love for it to disengage and head back for repairs. The repair command wouldn't necessarily impact the repair speed of the unit but it would simply keep the unit static until repairs are completed to the required level (in increments of 10%) so you could have orders such as these:
Order 1 - Move to location that needs guarding Order 2 - Guard until you take 50% damage Order 3 - Move to secure base Order 4 - Repair till 100% Order 5 - Loop back to order 1
See what I did there? I might be able to add something to the existing "Wait" order, like a checkbox, instead of number of turns it would be Full repair. Or even better, you can set what repair level you want to be at before moving on. I need to do a wait until Turn # also, instead of waiting a certain number of turns. like Wait until turn 1500
Back burner feature for now =) |

A realistic feature of a mercenary defense contract would be the ability to bug out and default on the contract. So you could still tell your units to retreat when they take a certain amount of damage, but then you don't get paid.
The only practical bounty would be to destroy a certain unit or structure, And it wouldn't even be attached to combat. It would be more like, if the unit is destroyed by a certain turn, you get paid. Doesn't matter how it happened or who did it. |
