This is useful but we would need the mayor of Delhi (Mountjim) to confirm this. |

Point of order: it is Jimbobdaz's perogative to press that issue (or not) in the event that the Mayor of Delhi fails to raise the issue themself.
Technically this becomes a point of order once the charter is fully ratified but fair enough.
Talking of which so far we've had the ratification of 11 Mayors of Earth and the Mayor of Lewis - we still need two more Mayors of Earth for the ratification to be completed. |

Thanks for your response Dr. I think that this is clear and I for one can live with this. As you point out it's the blatant abuse that is the problem.
Focus now on squishing those bugs which you find and then be able to make the game better. If there is game breaking abuse of alts I am pretty sure there will be enough of an outrage for everyone to notice. |

Congratulations, the charter has now received sufficient support to be considered ratified. In particular it has received the support of the following Mayors:
- For Chicago - Vulpex
- For Warsaw - Krell
- For Karachi - Bossalinie
- For Delhi - Mountjim
- For New York - Hutton, Incidentally Emperor of Earth
- For Rabat - karr1981
- For Moscow - OriontheHunter
- For Lewis - jimbobdaz (Moon colony)
- For Rio de Janeiro - Zangorian
- For Houston - Valhalla
- For Madrid - SarahSmith
- For Berlin - Zip555
- For London - Hollister
- For Bangkok - FuriousGeorge
- For Paris - Cayhnos
And additionally the support of Tyre, candidate to the mayorship of Cairo.
Congratulations and peace be on the universe - Further support is always welcome and now the enforcement of the charter passes to the Manager of Lewis - jimbobdaz.

Statement from the ARK Guild
The ARK guild recognizes the provisional government of Mars whose jurisdiction includes the entire planet of Mars.
ARK guild further recognizes that Mars is the area of interest of the Ghost Syndicate and the Dogstar Confederacy which currently constitute the government of Mars.
As a guild ARK has no particular interest in Mars at this time. Individual members of our guild may settle on Mars as individual companies following the rules of the provisional government.
This statement is not an alliance but simply a recognition of the work and value of the efforts carried out by Ghost Syndicate and Dogstar Confederacy in the development of Mars. |

Defend/Attack Limits

There are a few different scenarios here. The two important things to remember is that in a single turn movement happens before combat and when a unit reaches it's % damage taken it moves onto the next order on the list.
First case - attacking units with a damage limit.
Once the damage limit is reached they will stop attacking and move to the next order in their list. If there is no order they just sit there. If they have a movement order they will move the next turn before combat happens (movement takes place before combat)
NOTE - Special case - if the stack of units which you are attacking also have orders to attack you - they will continue to engage your unit until you give the order to move out. This may result in the death of your unit and happens often with the Kaiju attacks. Also retreating into the path of the Kaiju is not a good idea.
Second case - Guarding units
In this case the order is given to guard - if damage is taken up to a certain % then the next order gets executed. It is generally a good idea for the next order to be a movement order. However if for instance you have units which guarding an entire location once the damage percentage is reached they will stop guarding the location. If the attacker is fighting someone else your units are out of the fight at that point.
Final case - Defenders
If someone is actively attacking and you do not have a guard order set, the fights will continue until either the attacker ceases or your units are destroyed. That simple. |

You know... maybe you need a testing environment ...
As a matter of fact I have never actually tested this with my own units but I believe others have (I have seen units run away from me in the middle of combat when their owner was offline as far as I could tell) so I am assuming it works. |

Yes I agree give the carrier a bit more staying power - it doesn't need attack so much as hit points because it really is very flimsy. |

Logo Administration Account

Ok this is such a small thing that I blush to even bring it up...
At the same time it would help make the game oh so much more polished and fun.
You know the administration account? The one that announces events and tells us of new cities being founded or votes happening or fads coming and going?
It does not have a logo - it just shows this sad empty black space which boldly claims - no image.
While that is a statement in and of itself about the administration I think that some kind of adequately vogonesque logo would be most welcome there. |

Maybe we should just take a wait and see approach for now and have another convention on turn 10,000 to consider amendments if needed.
At this point I would second this approach - unless there is some crisis that brings this discussion again to the fore I prefer not to break something that seems to be working well at this point. |

Interestingly you can drop everything in one action but not pick everything up. I personally seldom run into this kind of problem because I prefer one big farm rotating its crops but I see many who have setup five small farms and are running into this kind of issue. |

I agree with Dread - if you have some kind of economic activity on a planet you need to be taking some kind of risk - i.e. no nothing for nothing. I mean if you could just sell stacks on their own why bother salvaging?
1 sale slot distribution kiosk - any structure (except for the services ones) provides that at the moment.
Same with any ship or transport at that location. Station a unit of lvl 1 infantry and you have essentially what you are asking for i.e. a unit capable of selling with power 100 one item per turn (and it costs 1 unit of military logistics which are more plentiful)
There are several solutions to the current situation right now. |

RP Questions
Vulpex
|
Thank you for your queries. The Terran Federation Information Office is happy to assist in clarifying such little minutiae in the running of the human colonies in Sol and beyond.
Regarding timekeeping the ancient time standard of a "day" as defined by the rotation of the Earth is no longer relevant, given our colonization of moons and planets across the galaxy. Thus the concept of a solar day was introduced where 144 solar days did in fact correspond to one of the former years. So a solar day is approximately 60 hours and 50 minutes of the previous calendar.
Regarding the question of cargo - all cargo transported in and out of earth must conform to the requirements of the standardized interstellar container. Each unit of cargo corresponds to a single standardized interstellar container, which have constraints on both volume and weight - this when carrying exotic minerals it is the weight constraint that is relevant, whereas when transporting exotic plant petals it is the volume requirement.
You are welcome.
(and I just made all of that up but hey I like it. The time thing I know is a bit flakey) |

Defenses not Working

Defensive structures (fortresses, shields, missile turrets, ion cannons and railguns) ONLY defend their owner, not the guild, not the location.
Personally I think this is a bit of a bug but it's how they are setup. As it makes it very hard to consolidate defenses in practice. |
